Hey. i am doing some work on the frame and need to do some welding. Does anyone know how to disconnect the computer so it doesn't get fried? or do i even need to? Thanks again guys!!!

Either unplug it and unbolt it from the vehicle (it grounds through the case, or should.

Or pull the battery. That should be sufficent in most cases.

I have always just disconnected the battery,and I have welded alot on our 98 frame.

The computer is located on the floor in front of the console under the dash,unless you had the factory cd changer,then it will be on the passenger fender liner.
