first time post so .........hello.
question regarding the egr tvs ...what does this look like ,i cannot seem to follow the hoses to these partsthis is a 4.2 motor and i have to get a smog check on it being in california.What other things chould i look out for and check ahead of time

ADY welcome to the site. Oh god! Tell us a bit about what it is you have on that engine. The hose routing is all over the net.. There is a maze of hoses and switches that came on that engine. Down here we can take em all off and still pass smog. I hear it is not possible to do so where you live. good luck with passing. Was it me I'd take it in and see what it did to the sniffer before trying to fix what was not broke in the first place.

Well i am trying to follow the hoses from the schematic.This is all fine and dandy if you knew what the components were and looked like.The 2 hoses i have had problems locating are from EGR TVS would this be throttle vaccume switch on the carb? .i might try and stop someone that has a same year model wrangler and look at there motor and see.

i think the egr tvs is up there on the air cleaner.SO THIS MUST BE A TEMP VAC SWITCH??

That would be a good idea. All wranglers were the same till the 4.0 was introduces so you don't have to have the exact year.
