Anyone else having this issue and know the solution? I know there is a TSB on this for 03-06 4Runners and some trucks, but the dealership is giving me a hard time on reproducing the issue and won't adress the problem. The seat shifts from side-to-side on corners and make a popping sound, but once shifted to that side it will not shift again until you turn the opposite direction. Why can't the dealership just poll other service areas and replace the needed parts? The TSB, which is similar to my issue is like a 4-5 step process.
Any suggestions?
Thanks and have a wonderful Christmas.

Take a copy of the TSB to another dealer and see what they'll do for you. Sounds like these guys don't care. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/butwiggle.gif" alt="" />
If that's not an option, contact the regional Toyota center for your area and give them the scoop. The local guy HAS to respond to your issue within 30 days.
You can find your regional center via Toyota's website. Make sure you have your VIN handy.

I have a 2004 4Runner and I had the same problem. I noticed it when I first purchased the vehicle. Not only did the seat pop around, but the ride height of the seat would gradually reduce after each corner I took. It continued to get worse over the last two years. And my 3/36 warranty was getting ready to expire so I took my 4Runner to the dealer (Power Toyota in Tempe, AZ). They told me that they had seen a few of these. It was under warranty and they replaced the entire seat - they said that was the only fix for it. They also said that retail on that seat is about $2500 (because of built in airbags). Anyhow, that's what one dealer did. Go get your new seat!
