Chris G. also worked for All Pro. Check with ZUK about using gears from China, or you could probably just buy then from Walmart or Harbor Frieght.

I don't think they can hire anyone smart enough to run a parts counter. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/shiner.gif" alt="" />

I recently set up and sold 2 extra diffs using the TG gears.
The V6 set was a Yukon part number TV6-529 and it set up very nicely. The 4cyl set also set up nicely and had a nicer finish than the 1st set with a part number of T8-529. I remember researching the part number and finding a matching Gear/number on Zuks web site where he mentioned they where "a decent gear commonly found in a yukon box". Neither set had any GG part numbers on them but then again neither had a "Made in the USA" mark either.

here are some pics of the V6 set

been using my trail creepers with no problems.

theses are japanese trucks who the hell cares where the parts are made if they work ,they work. people come on here bagging people and they havent actually used that person's product.so its nothing more than an opinion which is like a butt hole....we've all got em... its just that some have dingleberries and are crappier than the others. and some are big colostomy bags, full of poop!!

my trail creepers have taken a beating and ive had no problems for the past 6 months. i have beat on them pretty good. the trick to gears lasting is proper setup.

So you are saying that Chinese quality is as good as Japanese? I can remember when " made in Japen " was not the quality product it is today. Not an opinion but a fact. I agree setting a gear set up is very important to a long lasting gear set, but you can't make chicken salad fron chicken *****.

...because China sucks, that's why. If they are made elsewhre that's fine, but I'd like to know if my money is going to support a piece of crap communist country or not.

Just my opinion.

Lets keep the flame war for elsewhere, k.

I would be suspect though if he wasn't willing to disclose where he sources his gears. For me its where can I get the best quality part at the best price if that happens to be TG then so be it. If a company burns me on service then I don't go back.

Communist or not, my experience with Chinese metalurgy has not been good... If TG can get a decent quality gear made in China, more power to them.. China needs to figure it out eventually - already their reputation for supplying turbochargers and other parts that require close tolerences is significantly stained...

The real question here is: Has anyone had a problem with a TG ring and pinon? If not, does TG warranty their junk?
