I have a 04 Taco 2.7L 4x4 reg cab with the 15x7" wheels. I recently came across a steal on some 32x11.50x15R Goodyear MTR's that I picked up.

Will I have any clearance issues? I know that a small lift would be necessary for wheeling, but mine mostly stays on road.

Thanks!!

I have a 98 and 31x10.50 was the biggest i could run without lifting. I put a 2.5 lift and run 35x12.5's now.

I thought those Tacomas had 16x7 wheels?

I have seen an earlier Tacoma (1998) run 32x11.50s on the street and only complained about rubbing the frame.

No, there's definately 15x7s. There just appears to be SO much room with the stock tires, that I can't see where the would be a rubbing issue (unless of course I do some crawling, etc).

I hesitate to do a lift because I do like the ride height and do very little wheelin'. However, I could do a 2" BL if needed..

Must have done a lot of trimming. Do you have any fenders left?

I'll probably mount the 32's and see how it handles, just to see. However, can someone suggest the easiest and cheapest way to lift it 1-2 inches? Also, a vendor?

Thanks!

Need a Spot
You will Rub when you turn the wheel. Get a toytec 2.5 inch lift. I know I have 32 11.50 x 15 tires.

I happen to have an 04 taco. I was told that 32" Good Year MTR tires would fit well under my little taco. I was doing a 6" suspension lift so I figured I would go with the advise of these "mechanics" I use this term loosely. Once on, the excitement of having a awesome lifted truck with huge tires I made no complaints once a little hammering didn't fix the problem. It was going to be a fight to get them to redo and I now admit I should have fought them to the finish. Well. I will tell you this... with a 6" you will rub you will drag your front bumper down... and if you decide to off-road you will snap your fenders into lovely little snapped ... things... those tires are tough they bent up my fenders and never stopped going. Your clearance in the back will be almost nil and hence will have fun as they rub when weight is put on. Oh yes... the fun I have had with these tires. Now ... when I did my 3" body lift maybe a year back tops... there was no body lift for a Taco of my year. There was one for a Tundra... once again with the promise of "we'll make it fit" I said... lets... Well the body lift works... my tires don't rub, I have plenty of clearance, and the center of gravity has not caused me to roll *knock on wood* although I take some care to take turns a bit slower than I would in a sports car. BUT if you decide do the same note these few things: 1. The main bolts will be too long... you will need to get smaller. 2. The brackets for the front and back bumpers will need to be modified if not fab'd completely. 3. the gas tank extension will not fit plan ahead accordingly ... otherwise... the kit works. I am a living example. I only wish you to not go down the road of bumps and bruises I have been down. I can get the name of the kit if you would like.. I think I saved the sticker from it. Get a nine 9" combined body and suspension lift and you can fit 32's.

Also note: if you go a fab tech lift on the suspension... your ride will be rough, I plan on changing this as soon as I am able... <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/scared.gif" alt="" /> I would hope that they should have a nice body lift out by now.
