Getting the Wheeling Fever
Guys, I've gone back a couple years in the search function, and just want to be sure I'm understanding- I can lift my 97 4Rnner using Tunrda front coils for the front, and FJ80 front coils for the rear? I know OME is better, but I'm looking for a cheap means of lifting. It sounds like the FJ coils might lift the rear too much over stock though.

Are the OME coils actually FJ coils?

I'm looking for around 2" of lift without using spacers. (Are there downsides to spacers aside from no extra articulation?)

I did the "lightest" OME set-up on my '98 and like it a lot. I netted about 1.50" up front and 1.75" out back with these parts...
Front Coils = 880 / Front Shocks = N91SC
Rear Coils = 906 / Rear Shocks = N86C

These are straight out of Australia so I doubt that they are the same thing as the FJ80 coils.

Check out this Sonoran Steel site for great information on suspension set-ups. Steve has a lot of experience with the Gen 3 4Runners and has a lot of cool parts for sale.
