Sounds like they are pretty liberal on the application of that warranty <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

If the 2nd leaf wraps around the spring eye, its a military wrap. I've heard the wrap should go to the rear, but I'm not sure.

The center pin should be offset. Is the wrap on the long or short side?

What exactly happened to the old spring?

the pin is 23" from the military side 24" from the regualr side

I was just hoping maybe mine were in backwards thats why they were bending.

The old spring. I kept bending it and you know like a piece of wire fold it back and forth enough and it breaks.

What part of the spring broke? I assume the side without the wrap.
