Do you think that if a person used those fiberglassed fenders, they could run 33's with no lift?

As long as they dont hit the frame or control arms, you might only have to hammer the pinch weld in.... thats about it...

I've been eyeing these for my truck as well. What all is involved to get them installed?

IMO the Bushwacker cut-outs look great on 2nd gen trucks with their square edges, however since you have a 3rd gen you might want to consider Warn 3" flares. The Warn flares bolt to teh inner fender mounts, and use 3m tape between the flare and the fender along the top.

Here is how they look on my '90

Ohh, hey that does look pretty slick. You've got one sick bumper/skidplate setup too

Thanks, the bumper was my first attempt at building a front bumper. It is kind of hard to tell in the pic, but the lower portion of the bumper extends over the top of the skid plate.

Last time I was on Warn.com the flares were $121/pr. I have had mine since '94 and they have held up well, they are pretty flexible(the old ones anyways) in most instances. However, a few yrs ago on a late spring snow trip I slid into a stump on the passengers side, the flare cracked along the edge and there was a $.25 size hole punched in it. I was able to patch it using fiberglass resin, after sanding/painting it it looks nearly as good as new.

Need a Spot
Hey, Nice truck! I have an 87 myself and want to install the same flares as you did. Do you know where I can get these? Are any other flares compatible?? I also like your roof basket. What brand is it? I was going to get a yakima one, but they only install from the gutters. It looks like yours are drilled?

Thanks!

Bump for new piccys?

Working on it. My digital camera decided to stop working so I'm looking to buy another one right now. Will try to borrow one from a friend to take some pictures, if I can.

Is this in reply to SnowToy or me?

4WheelParts, JC Whitney or your local 4x4 store should have the flares or can order them for you.

My safari roof rack is from Surco. I drilled through the fibre-glass roof to mount them.
