Getting the Wheeling Fever
|
Just wanted to know where everyone gets their oil filters from. I'm looking into buying a case of 10 for $ 39.90 free s&h. I usually buy my filters from my local dealer but I'm getting tired of paying $ 6.00 a filter. I use genuine Toyota filters 90915-YZZD3. Anyone know of any good deals or better prices ? TIA Chris

Google that p/n and you'll find ebay sellers with good history that can beat your 39.90 limit <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />

Need a Spot

I recently purchased my first Toyota ('96 Tacoma), so I'm gaining information as I go. Is there a reason to use OEM oil filters? A friend of mine works for an outfit that supplies GM dealers, and I can get AC oil filters thru him. Is there any thoughts as to why I can't or shouldn't use an AC brand in my Toyota truck? Tom

No, not really, AFAIK, AC Delco makes pretty good filters. But with all the stuff going on with Delphi, let's hope they didn't subcontract out the work to Honeywell (Fram)!!!

Is there a reason to use OEM oil filters? Tom Hmmm, I thought 3.99 each (from ebayer) was pretty reasonable?
