Allright...I had to put my Zu in 4wd for the 1st time in a while. How long you say? Uhhh....a couple of months <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/baby.gif" alt="" /> Anyway, when I put it in 4WD I could hear what seems to be a repeatitive squeak comming from the front passengers side. The faster I go, the faster the squeaking noise. When I take it out of 4WD the squeak stops. All the boots are in fairly good condition. Ball joints seem o.k. The truck was inspected just a month ago everything fine. Its a 1997 Isuzu Rodeo.

It sounds like it could be the spindle bearing.

There is a small needle roller spindle bearing that installs from the back side of the spindle and supports the inner part of the outer axle stub.

It is a pain to get to, a pain to get out but that is probably what you get to do.

Good Luck,
Michael
