I bought Matt's 87 after he "rebuilt him." Absolutely no complaints. I've only driven it 3,000 miles in this year. Unfortunately, I sold "Bluebelle" my original-owner 88 Raider - geez that was hard. But a lovely firefighter wants to work her over & he has the skills to do so. In the mean-time, my nephew drove the 87 over to his girlfriend's house (with permission) and I got an offer of $2600 but he'll go up to $3000. Am I crazy or what? I cannot imagine life without a Raider.

OK my point is - why don't the car manufacturer's realize that there are some of us that want a basic, tough, no frills, 4x4. The darn auto-show sells all this bling & electric, electronic stuff and I don't even want electric powered windows. I want something that will get me through the creek and the cow pasture after 5" of rain!

Ok I've ranted...

You havn't been gone that long! Your in the 1% American market, they don't build stuff for us. No big profits in basic trucks.

Hey, glad to hear you're doing ok. I was actually beginning to worry that you'd gone off and bought a Jeep or something.

Yep, we remember you. Are things getting back to normal (whatever that is)? I hope the 2007 hurricane season is quiet for the folks along the gulf coast.

For that price, you should encourage your nephew to look for his own Raider/Montero.
