So it seems in my older age I have become environmentally conscience. I feel slightly guilty that my 87 Raider no longer requires to tested and I could technically pull the factory exhaust off and go with something that eliminates the cat. I could basically make the engine run really well but what is the drawbacks? Yes I may be just a little spec in the destruction of the ozone with my non-conforming lack of pollution control measures that were associated with my truck so I could gain some horsepower.
I remember 20 yrs ago or so running straight pipes off my 1 ton Chev suburban 4x4 with a 454 motor. Never thought twice about the Ozone and other pollutants. Now I cant change the TV channel without seeing something gruesome about the state of the Earths atomosphere.
What are other peoples thoughts? Has someone come up with a torquey EV 4x4 yet? That would put my mind at ease! There probably was a great EV 4x4 back in the late 90s but GM probably did a "recall" and crushed it. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/ignore.gif" alt="" />
