I believe the BAR's weighed 26 or 28 pounds unloaded. I can't imagine dragging that damn thing around. Not quite ... 16-19 lbs depending on the exact model of it. But still I wouldn't wanna lug that around either. Except for the fact that I'd know that I can pretty much obliterate anything. Richard

While we wait for others to post, here is a little beauty I recently picked up. Built in 1996, but looks new. Well, im glad you like my Ruger. Seriously, that is the exact same rifle as mine. Stainless with oak stock. Except mine has a BSA reddot and sling on it, as well as a butt guard and it doesnt have the silver ring towards the end of the stock. Im ordering a muzzle break for it when i get the chance. They make some pretty crazy mods for that little gun, the least of which is that 30 round bananna clip. A friend has one with a folding synthetic stock, muzzle break, scope, and 30 round clip. Looks like an assault rifle, without the paper work. -J

..."Black Gun" usually refers to the intended use of the arm rather than it's color. I'm afraid you might be falling prey to oversensativity. I've never heard that. Lots of people use "black gun" or "evil black gun" as slang for assault rifles.

Yeah. Making fun of the AntiGun crowd. Basically black = scary, or for war to them. Just because they are ignorant they are afraid.
the way I heard it, the canadians took a gun bible, and picked everything scary looking out of it, and thats their list.
Got news for them. Non scary guns will kill you JUST as dead. Keep on thinking that wood stocked checkered grip remington 700 with a deer scene engraved onto the but wont work just as good as some black socomm 16.

I watched the new Future Weapons Monday, and they showed a semi auto .50 cal sniper rifle. No bolt action. Aparently it has some sort of new recoil system that allows 5 shots in 1-2 seconds while keeping the grouping at a few inches(at 100yds I think, maybe closer). I would love to own a .50 cal rifle!
I do love my .45!!! My grouping with it is about 2 inches at 15 yds (5 shots). I need a match grade barrel, then I could probably take it down to maybe an inch.
Gun it and run it! 1981 CJ5,258,T-176,D300,AMC 20,Dana 30,Trxus M/T 31x10.50, Rancho 5000's, GroundPounderFab front bumper, polyethylene gas tank, aluminum dash, AutoMeter gauges

With my friends Rem model 700 PSS "police sniper special" I only make one hole at 100 yards with hand loaded match grade ammo. From the bench of course!
Now my 7mm Ultra Mag...it's not a 7mm, not a 7mm magnum. It's a earth shattering, shoulder killing 7mm ULTRA MAG. Crazy 3700 fpt muzzle velocity. After two shots you start to anticipate the pain People next to you at the range request to be moved farther way. Makes a 308 feel like a 22. I can get 2 inch group but after about three shots i'm done
I bought it dreaming of a Alaska hunt, but it also drops these skinny California bucks right where they stand

The History channel had a show about "Bonnie & Clyde".
