Need a Spot
I have an 87 4Runner 22 re and one morning while leaving for work I pushed my clutch in and it slammed all the way to the floor with no pressure. With some help, I bled the clutch and topped off the clutch fluid reservoir( which was very low) and the problem was fixed! Ran perfect for aboy 5 weeks, and then the same exact thing happened again. I just recently bled the system again and it is running fine, but I know something must be leaking and I would like to fix the problem before I get stranded somewhere! Any Ideas Anyone??? <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />

Most likely leaking around the seals in the master or slave cyl, or fittings/lines themselves.

Any obvious leaks? -Around slave -Inside cab (master usually leaks on the inside of the firewall and soils the carpet)

Cheap fix if you find one leaking (master or slave cyl) is to replace just that one piece, but it's good practice to replace both, as the new component will commonly cause a failure in the older, weaker one. Hope this helps... Tom

Getting the Wheeling Fever
Same thing happened to me, it was a huge leak inside the cab, had to refill every couple days. Just swapped in a new master cylinder and it was fine.
