One of the windshield washer nozzles doesn't spray at all. Washer pump works fine, fluid through the line to the nozzle assembly. I tried working a small piece of wire through the top side of the nozzle but couldn't get it to go all the way through. I assume the nozzle is clogged by something (maybe lime/calcium deposits after all these years?). I would rather not remove the nozzle assembly if possible since other wiring/tubing is connected to it. Any other ideas on how or what to use to clear it? Thanks, Jim Tulsa '89 two door v6 auto

Removing the nozzle is actually pretty easy. I'd do that and throw it in some lime-away or some other calcium deposit disolving fluid for a day or two then check it again. It could also be a tiny rock or something blocking it as well.

Put some compressed air to it. That's happened before on my pickup and compressed air cleared it right out.

my 89 lwb did the same thing and I couldn't get it to work right so I just bought some nozzle jets and put those one, they each have three little jets so there's 6 streams of fluid being sprayed, works great. http://rides.webshots.com/photo/2271842990049304464tNBTwethat's the only pic I have that shows them, you can see the two black things on the hood.

If lime-away is nt available you can also use some white vinegar.
Good luck <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />
