What is it? 2G Trooper under hood #781785 01/20/07 06:22 PM

Poking around under my 98 Trooper hood, right next to the power steering resevoir are three rubber tubes, bent over and tied off from the factory (so it appears). Two of them are rubber hoses (open end) and one is a hose with a small slotted cylinder on the end. All look like they have no current function. I checked the manuals but can't find a reference. Anyone know what these are for?

Sounds like differential and tranny/tcase breathers to me.
