Getting the Wheeling Fever

are the bell housings the same for manual and automatic transmissions the same. I'm talking about the 22re and 22rtec engines.
also what does the "c" mean in the 22rtec mean.

the actual belhousing is different but the bolt pattern is the same.....i smell a 5 speed swap..best thing i ever did
