Getting the Wheeling Fever
Another Friends Jeep.. LOL.. I live in Kentucky so we all love Jeeps smile .. But this is the problem.

'02 Wrangler 4.0 TJ 25k miles with a fabtech 2.5 lift. 33"x10.5" Tires

Occasionally, when he hits a bump or turns he is getting a crunching noise in the front end. He suspects it is the passenger side, but you know how sound travels..

I thought maybe one of the pieces were installed incorrectly on his lift, but everything looks good and no signs of wear of the tires, comparment, or lift parts.

Any thoughts?

First guess would be tire rub. Make note of where the wheel is when this occurs. LOOK at tires for clean places.

On my '98 TJ with 31" AT's on stock-offset wheels, if you turn tight enough, the edge of the treads rub the lower control arm. Sounds kinda crunchy. ( my kids always say "daddy, what was THAT??" ) Are you running aftermarket or stock wheels? Most aftermarket wheels are set out a little, and don't do this. Just my thoughts...
