Need a Spot
Hi all. Just joined after lurking and reading for a while. I've learned a lot already from this forum and site, and it's links to other resources while I was recently shopping for a new ride.

I ended up acquiring a pretty nicely modded 98 Rodeo S 4x4. Has the 3.2 V6 and auto transmission. Calmini 3" lift system, Rancho9000s w/dash mounted controls, 33" Dunlop Mud Rovers, Superwinch manual hubs, etc. I think it's been fitted with taller than stock gearing, and a speedo gearing mod, because it accelerates quite nicely even with the bigger tires, and the speedo reads high, not low.

I bought it as a second vehicle, to save the winter wear and tear on my '76 BMW 2002. But I'm also planning to try some offroading once the weather gets nicer - and will be looking for tips, etc. as I get ready to try that. (I know Isuzu's aren't the most popular performance offroad 4x4 rides, but I had a good experience with an Amigo I had when they first came out, and I like the distinction of it being a bit unique.)

Anyway, just wanted to introduce myself. I'll likely post up some Q's as I start looking to work on it or make some additional performance improvements. So far I'm really enjoying it, and can see why you all are Isuzu 4x4 fans.

Tom

Thanks folks!

OK, first NooB question - how do I post a picture here? I can see in the posting screen there's a UBB Code for Image, but when I select it, it prompts for a URL, and doesn't give me the ability to upload a file from my computer. So I have to post the pic somewhere else on the 'net, then link to that? (BTW, I haven't checked out the Gallery feature yet - going to do that now, and see if I can upload to there...)

Price I paid was $6000. Kind of high per KBB, but when I considered the costs of the mods - info on here led me to good sources for costs for all that stuff - it seemed good to me. I don't have any interior pics yet - but since I added a new stereo and was in there, I located it to directly under that, on a DIN plate in the dash.

L8R,
Tom

OK - looks like a web URL is the only way to do it. (or email an admin to get a picture posted to the gallery) :-(

So here's some pics!
