Steering stablizer Rancho 5000 #784037 01/28/07 06:06 AM

I bought a steering stablizer on Ebay and it came with a threaded shaft on both ends. No way it will fit without a set of special brackets. Anyone install one of these on a 1991 IFS truck and have pictures of the brackets. I can fab some up but was wondering what Rancho did for brackets.

Thanks

I don't know about a '91, but I've got one on an '80. It's a piece of angle iron cut to be held on by 2 u-bolts on the steering rod, and having a hole on the other face to attach the stablizer. If you send me your email address, I'll send you some pics (haven't figured out how to do it here) .

Need a Spot
You'll need the Rancho Steering Stabilizer Bracket kit # RS5573.

I chucked my Rancho because it needed the bracket and got one that fit in the original location.

That's mine, in the top example! Works very well, no binding, hindering, or rubbing.

one bracket attached to the steering linkage with the u-bolts, the other end is a long plate which bolts to the inside of the frame rail using the idler arm bolts, the kit supplies longer bolts...i have that setup, works great but im considering ditching it for one that goes in the stock location as well.

The one I have is similar to the first one, but the other end is a bracket to the lower control arm.

Came with longer bolts to go through the control arm.
