I ordered a 1 inch body lift from indy4x and havent put it on yet but will be doing so within a few weeks. Do I need longer than stock screws for the one inch body lift or will the stock ones be long enough?

What are we working on?

There are a few that have done 1" body lifts on different trucks.

Andre on a 1994 Passport

Wareagle on a 1995 Trooper

Rubo on a 2000 or 2001 Rodeo

When deciding what bolt length I needed for my custom 1.25" BL, I just took out the existing bolts on the passenger's-side one at a time (putting each one back before taking out the next) and measured them, then adding 1.25" to that length. You could do the same to see how much thread engagement the rearmost mounts have to determine if there is enough leftover for 1" longer mounts. The front and side bolts should be visible from under the vehicle; allowing you to determine if they are long enough w/o removal. IIRC, the front bolts are longer than the rear ones; so even if they are not long enough to keep using in the front you may be able to move them to the rear. The ruler will reveal all. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

soory its a 90 trooper, and the ones you can see from under the troop are showing minimal thread so it looked to me like I need to get longer ones but was just wondering if anyone has done one but then again you would need to know what vehicle. yea imma jackass I know, but its a 90 trooper.

I don't remember the exact details, but for my 1" BL, I reused the rear 6 bolts on the front, and replaced the rear with longer bolts. I might have that reversed, but I know I only replaced half the bolts.

Just pop under there and see if you've got at least an inch of thread sticking out. Right?

when looking for a container to hold drained brake fluid, find a container that is different from the beverage you are currently consuming.
