Getting the Wheeling Fever
Does anyone know what the minimum head thickness would be on a 87' 22re? Thanks for the info!

Need a Spot
I have not found the min. hieght of a head yet, however on LC Eng's site they give the stock head and block deck hights, thickness. I found out that mine has been shaved .050" so now I'm in looking for a .050 "head Saver" shim, I would think that Fel-Pro makes one. In the morning I will measure the block.

Old hand but new to this

If you can't find any shims, make your own. You can get blank shim metal of different thicknesses from Wholesale Tool.

That seems like alot since your average head milling is about .010. Why so much?
