Yesterday I ordered a 3" Body Lift from thier site for $87.51. They emailed my receipt and all was good. Today I received an email from them. It is posted below.

Hello Sam,

Thank you for your order!

I'm sorry but this item is out of stock. I've credited your card
and canceled the order. Performance has increased our price on this
item and the new sale price is $116.43. I will have more available within
a day or two. If you are still interested in ordering, you can place your
order again at that time.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

Will

So I called their customer service center. I spoke with Adam. He was very rude and basically told me they didn't have to go by their policy (posted on their site). But he did offer to let me reorder at the higher price. Also they are still accepting orders for this kit on their site. It doesn't say anywhere that they are out of stock. I have filed a complaint with the better business burea which Adam said would do no good since they could do whatever they wanted.

I suggest that everyone stay away from them.

Sounds like you need to file a complaint with the US Postmaster and the FBI for Internet wire fraud; also talk to your credit card people to see what other avenues you have.

Seems pretty reasonable to me if they have a large site, takes a while to get new info on a site when things change. There's a lot to it. I wouldn't expect them to give me a price that was below they're profit margin or cost. Remember you're not the customer till they take your money, and they didn't take the money, it wasn't even them that took the order, everything is going through a third party. When the price of oil changes everything from manufacturing, shipping, etc. has to change eventually.

Somebody doesnt know anything about good customer servire
or building customer satisfaction or loyalty.Personaly I would never deal with a place like this ,would spread the word for others not to,and on the the flip side have no problem spending a little more at places that value the
customer

Roll Me Over
Yeah that's crock. I can understand the updating inventory/prices thing but this isnt some glitch for BestBuy or somewhere that means millions...or even hundreds most likely. When a customer calls up just give him what he wants for pete sake.

I hate getting bent over too so on your behalf I'll do business elsewhere.

VISA and MC have policies in place for businesses that do this kind of thing. Talk to them and explain the situation. They will investigate, and if they think there is something shady going on, they will yank 4wheelsupply's ability to use their CC debit service. The other option is to phone and ask for the owner and see what he says about Adam's attitude. You never know, Adam could be looking for a new job. A lot of the time, owners aren't aware that there are staff who are driving away customers. They are usually surprised and will take very serious about your complaint. If he laughs then hangs up, then you have every right to spread the word they aren't a reputable firm.

hmm.. you really should do something legal about it. if you cannot, you should do what you're trying to do here, post in automotive/car/truck forums and merchant reviews like epinions.com, bizrate.com, etc. good luck to you, man.

i think, therefore, i drive with only toyota. (with some mods in toyota parts, of course.)
