well i know most of you probably don't care, but i cleaned up my new car and took some pics. she still needs to be waxed, but i couldn't feel my hands after washing the car in 30 degree weather and didn't want to be outside any longer lol. it was hard enough just to get the ice out of the hose.

oh and on my last tank of 90% city driving i got 26.5 mpg . and thats w/ me being throttle happy b/c im not used to the power yet haha. sure beats the 18-20 my truck gets in the city. the only thing that's killing me is the insurance on this thing. for 6 months my truck costs $128 for maxed out coverage and liability only, for the car w/ max coverage plus comprehensive, its going to cost me over $700 more . maybe its b/c integras are the most stolen car in america lol. i did find out that the car has an alarm though. i also found two switches underneath the fuse panel and im not sure what they do yet. im afraid to test them out b/c i'm not sure if they control the fuel pump and i don't want to mess the car up by running out of gas

heres a comparison shot

Does your state require your registration stickers to be placed smack in the middle of the windshield? That would annoy the crap out of me. I've been spoiled living in WA the past few years, as we don't have windshield stickers at all.

The car's lookin good though, don't get high centered on any speed bumps.

I feel your pain, had to wash the truck today. I just couldn't wait to get all the anti-snow chemicals off. It made my paint feel like sand paper.

A couple of tips I use.
1. Fill the wash bucket with warm water.

2. Wear neoprene fishing gloves.

3. When finished, remove hose from house and squirter from hose. Hold hose in the air from one end to the other to COMPLETELY empty the water. You'll be thankful next time you have a freeze.

My truck can safely sleep in the garage clean. The Corolla can wait a few more days .

BTW, we're suppose to get more Mon. eve and Tuesday.

It is an inspection sticker and yes that is the required spot for it. VA use to have a county/city sticker as well to shw it is regestered, apparently that is now longer needed.I moved out almost 5 years ago so things have changed.

out of all the jeeps in this town the d**n gremlin had to invade mine

I've done so much, with so little for so long i can practicly do anything with nothing

thanks for the car wash tips, i'll have to break out my 5 mm wetsuit gloves that i use for surfing next time lol.

i never really thought about the placement of my inspection sticker or notice it while driving lol. especially in my truck since my clinometer hides most of it.

virginia beach got rid of the city stickers a few years ago, but you still have to pay for it haha. i think chesapeake still has theirs though.

on another note, i realized that me raising the car is inevitable. although i love the look of it and the fact that it drives like it's on rails. the norfolk roads on the way to odu are horrible and the suspension bottoms out constantly. not to mention my headers are already all scraped up. but it does ride better than my truck around town in vb. the good thing is that i have adjustable coilovers so raising it should be as easy as turning a couple of locknuts and then getting an alignment. i'm still a little unsure about it though since ive never dealt w/ anything like this before. i wish you guys knew as much about integras as you do trucks haha.

Yup, unload the suspension and crank 'em up. Just make sure you keep track of the # of turns I feel you on the bottoming out, the downpipe on my wagon scrapes everywhere (need to tuck it up closer to the pan some more):

TX roads suck (even worse than VA). What mods are on the car? Are those Sportmax wheels?

I must be watching too much "CSI". I saw your title and I immediately thought "gun shot residue".

thanks for the compliments guys.

dok your exhaust looks to be in pretty much the same spot as mine, but where youre downpipe comes down, my headers curve back. which is why they are scraped and dented a little. which can't be good for performance lol.

the wheels are made by Work, they are the competition lll model. i think they were discontinued b/c they aren't on their site. i'm not absolutely sure about all the mods on the car b/c it came w/ absolutely NO information or records, not even an owners manual. i wish i knew that when i bought the car, especially since i don't know if the timing belt was previously replaced. but the car looks to be meticulously cared for.

but as of now i know that it has
-dc sports ceramic coated headers
-injen cyborg cold air intake
-larger diameter exhaust system
-7mm magnecor spark plug wires
-a shiny valve cover haha
-tokico coil overs
-at least a 2" drop
-front and rear strut bars
-16" wheels w/ nexxen z rated tires

here's a pic of the engine
[Linked Image]

as for raising the car, i have spanner wrenches, but i don't think they are nearly big enough since they are used for bottom brackets and headsets on bikes haha. i might have to buy the tool to do it if my wrx buddy doesn't have one laying around.
