I apologize for the dumb question, but are BFG ATs directional tires? I'd like to work my spare into the rotation. I was told I couldn't do this with directional tread, and the BFG website didn't have the information.

Thanks,
Jon

Who told you it was directional? These are non directional.

BFG AT's

Look at the tread from the front, look from the rear. Look the same? Nondirectional. Look different? Directional. There's a common misconception that the direction shouldn't be reversed with radials that's a hold over from the early days but is no longer true.

Directional tires are very hard to find!! They must be mounted for the side they will be placed on.. NONE of the well known popular tires are directional. The only directional tires I have EVER seen are extremely aggressive MUD tires.

because they arent directional. as far as i know ther arent many directional at's, procomp has one, pitbull growler is considered by them to be an at. while the bfg at, goodyear mtr, and most others arent directional

Direction tires have an arrow molded into the sidewall, makes them easy to locate amongst other tires.

Thanks for all the replies, everyone. Time for a 5-tire rotation, then.
