My son in-law just got the Grand Cher. And needs to know what lubricants go in the diff, T-Case and auto tranny. He says the diffs are posi and apparently need some sort of additive and same with the T-case need some sort of additive. What about the tranny Dex 3 or 4. Any advise please.

in the differentials you can use 75w-90 or 75w-140 and if its posi you need additives, the trans and transfercase use just normal ATF and i believe 96's used dex 4 (you can use AMSOIL universal ATF and not worry about it because it covers most automatic transmissions out there) and you dont need additives for them, if he has the owners manual have him look in there because it will tell him the correct lubricants to use,

Go to the parts house and read the labels on the diff fluids... Lots of them have the additives already in them. That is the way I get my posi additives. Big JIm

Don't use Dexron unless you have the AW-4 transmission, for any of the Chrysler transmissions use ATF +4. BJ is right, any good parts store can tell you what the manufacturer recommends.
