Well i know we got a good dumping here last night, and it was mostly ice, so there was all kinds of fun to be had. I pulled a few people out of ditches today in 2wd haha, and got my truck completely covered in salt! my black truck is now white AHHHHHHH.. Towed my buddies Xterra around a couple of streets because his fuel pump went out on him, that was kinda fun!!(PSA:rear crossmember is not a good tow point,it bent)

I dont have any pics.. But i know i wasnt the only one out there having fun..

We got 16" of snow with plenty of drifting. There was no "playing" to be had... just shoveling, winching, and tow-strapping full-sized trucks (2 with plows) that were buried more than frame-deep in the ditch. This wouldn't be an issue if I drove an excavator; but I drive an Amigo I'll spare you the ginormous write-up others have already been subjected to. Lets just say I'm tired and here is a shot of the Amigo on the road after the plows were unstuck and able to do their job:

I'm also moving this to the OT forum... 'cause that's where it belongs

Sean,

How do you have that winch mounted to your Amigo? Looks kinda crooked.

I'm guessing duct tape and/or bailing wire.

Hahahah.. I was out in my Corolla Plowing snow! 12" of snow is a bit much for a corolla in an unplowed parking lot. Lots of fun!! If you can't go muddin in a truck you might as well take a FWD car out in (too) deep snow,

I took the wife's '95 out and cruised around a few log roads (legal ones Lee ), but didn't bother to take any pics. I'm really impressed with the cheap AT type tires she has. They hooked up well in the snow. I have my 3rd snow day in a row tomorrow. If the software vendor I'm supposed to meet bails, maybe I'll try to get a poser pic of her truck somewhere scenic/snowy

i actually went out at 1:30am and went driving around when there was lots of fresh snow and no one on the streets... definately relaxing....
Then my parents thought it would be funny if they shoveled all the snow infront of my garage (on an uphill slope) about 2 feet high.... the 4runner took care of all of that

IIRC Sean has a receiver mount for the hitch, and the receiver tube is a little crooked...

Yeah, its crooked I was trying to hold the receiver in place with my left hand while laying on my back and stick welding upside down with my right. Lets just say it got a bit whopperjawed. I should have checked it before running a huge bead; but I got in too much of a hurry. Its only really about 1/8" out. The problem is that 1/8" in a 2.5" span becomes a lot more when you're looking at the 20" span of a winch. There's like 40" of bead ran around the perimeter... no way I'm grinding all of that out for an aesthetic issue. The winch works fine and is only mounted during use anyway.

[edit]Richard, never underestimate my abilities with baling wire and duct tape. Throw in some zip ties and I could darned near fix the space shuttle.
