Another option for you, look for a rear axle from a v6 2wd. I can say with ALMOST certainty that all of them have the 8" rear. I think they have the 4 pinion gears too. But as kyle said, If I say all of them do, I'll find one with a 7.5" rear! You'll be able to swap in a 4cyl 8" rear with no problems, and maintain the 5 lug pattern.

Staceman,
For the 2wd's, 1 ton single wheel *should* have a 8" rear, and the 4speed with 3.07 gears *should* also be 8", othewise it'll be a v6 rear to look for.
Just some helpful hints on the car-part search

Thanks. I'm confused on that site though (first time). There is different selections for the 4x4's, either 4cyl or 6. None of the 2WD ask to specify 4 or 6 cyl.

Thanks for the info!
We can get it shipped to Shamrock Dairy so that will work out. They are thinking about $230 for shipping and just a rough estimate. So I'm going to keep researching, 330 is still cheap for what I'm looking for (I think).
Remember, I need the stregnth. My brother snapped 2 axles and my dad snapped a 3rd in the diff (which is prolly toast now). I'd go with a V6 axle but they were really pricey.
