Dale,

Check out OldColt's avatar. It looks like a Meyer plow...

Yup I plow with mine. This is one of the best plow rigs I have seen. The great front to rear balance of these SWB Montis give a much harder push than most big rigs. It is small an maneuverable with great vision of the work area.
My setup has some simple custom work to get it together.
The lower frame got a hole drilled in each end and bolted to the front of the lower control arm, one bolt each side.
I removed the bumper exposing the end of the frame rails, this allowed bolting on the upper frame.
I then used a piece of box tube to connect the upper and lower structure together for reinforcement.
I run a belt driven pump. I removed the AC compressor and swung it to the side and placed the pump in the AC cradle. Then added some tabs to the band that came with the pump to pick up a few of the mounting bolts.
The valve assy mounts from a tab on the radiator bulkhead. Cables are a straight run to the dash.
Pictures to follow.
My rig is a turbocharged automatic. We routinely get 2' to 3' dumps here in the Eastern ski country and I just wait for all the snow to come down and then push it. It is usually a light dry snow.

Cheers, Charlie

Why wouldn't a Montero be good for pushing snow .... I used to plow with a '51 CJ and it did great ! A Montero should be better !!!

My plans for a snow plow mod are long range .... as in for next year. But I'm trying to get my homework done now.
