I have tried cleaning and reassembling my Dash pot but the thing just keeps sticking even after i hit it with a shot of silicon spray. so i want to replace it. Any suggestions of where i might find this obscure part? I know the stealership will have it. anywhere else? just so we can all celebrate knowledge a dash pot is there to slow the closing of the throttle to prevent backfiring. yay! Which is how long I've gone without one. I've never quite understood the purpose of it, but I know that my rig runs fine without it.
