Common cause of EFI fuse blowing is the O2 sensor wiring falling against the hot exhaust and melting the insulation and shorting out the signal wires.

ok thanks that narrows my problem down and I dont know a whole lot on electrical things but where would this O2 sensor be located would that wire run to the top of my airbox where the air flow meter is!!??

The O2 sensor senses O2 (i.e. oxygen) in the exhaust gas inside the exhaust manifold. So that is a good place to look for it and also one reason why the wires running to it can fall against the hot exhaust. Depending on your smog equipment setup, you may have 1 sensor before the catalytic convertor or a 2nd sensor after the cat as well.

ok cool thanks so what would be a good way to replace the wires that might have been melted on the exhaust manifold

Step 1. Find out if that is the problem.

Step 2. If it is indeed bad, then look at where the damage is and sdecide on a course of repair. It is likely a multi-conductor, shielded cable and the best bet would be to get a replacement section at a junkyard or perhaps from the dealer or maybe an electronics shop. Any splicing is best done by soldering the individual wires together then heat shrink tubing for insulation around each wire then heat shrink around the whole cable for added protection. It also may be that the wiring can be repaired, maybe just separate the melted wires and re-insulate each one.

hey I checked the wires to the O2 sensor and the wires runnin by the exhaust and they all looked fine. So I called a yota mech. I know and he said it would be the EFI relay in the fuse box so I ordered one last nite so would that sound like my problem.. a blown EFI relay!!!??
