Roll Me Over
I noticed yesterday that my runner is dripping antifreeze. It's dripping from the rear main area, so I flipped out, but then followed the water... it's running down the side of the oil pain lip. so it's coming from the front of the motor. like behind a cover or something. I'm 99.99% sure it's the water pump. I also started hearing a noise, like a bearing going out, and I couldn't pin point it. it sounds like it's coming from behind the cover. Another arrow to the water pump. What ticks me off, is I replaced it 3yrs and 25K ago when I did the timing belt job. I used a NAPA top of the line pump. Everything I bought from napa turned out be crap. I was raised to think napa had good parts and places like Advance were jokes. well I've had better luck hands down with Advance & Autozone than napa. Their wheel cylinders lasted less than 1yr, the mastercylinder lasted 2 weeks, and the water pump 3yrs/25k.

Most likely it is the water pump. See if you can pinpoint the bearing noise with a mechanics scope or long screwdriver.

I'm with you on the Advance Auto parts quality. I can't say the same for Auto Zone and haven't used Napa in yeeeeeaaaarrs.

I used a scope and it's coming from behind the cover. so it's the water pump. Yeah I'm done with NAPA parts. I don't wanna go there unless I have to as a last resort. they charge top dollar for their parts and they're junk. I just wish Advance would get rid of the teenie bober junk on the floor and fix it's image. I still can't beleive it. 4 parts and they all went bad EXTREMELY early. Only good thing is they cary WIX filters.
