Getting the Wheeling Fever
Thanks for all the great replies. I looked this thing over pretty good and it is nice and straight with no fin damage or any damage at all. The cores inside just have a little calcium buildup and no rust. It has never overheated on me. I guess I will get it rodded afterall as it does seam like a good build quality. Thanks for all the help guys.

I have always thought the general consensus is that the stock radiator, once rodded, is superior to the aftermarket ones available. I'm having the rad on my '92 rodded in the next week or so because of that...is my thinking incorrect?

You are NOT incorrect. Your thinking is dead on...

Getting the Wheeling Fever
Is the stock monty radiator better than a stock starion radiator? My rad. in the truck has a small hole that corroded in the top tank and I have a spare good condition starion rad. I can use. I haven't had a chance to sit them side by side and compare, my truck is in pieces now waiting on the turbo stuff and I just want it to run cool.

If I remember the specs right, the monty radiator is about 50% better than the starquest rad.

I agree. From what I can tell the Starion rad is longer, shorter and thinner. Prior to buying my truck I thought that I would be able to use my stock Starion rad as either a backup or upgrade, but the Starion rad looks to be too long and probably would not fit due to the location of the power steering box.
