So I was out at lunch today with my wife, and both of us were watching the odometer in the Raider tick over 200,000, and almost immediately the "Maint. req'd" light flashed on and I thought to myself "well, DUH!" I'm almost tempted to leave it on as a reminder -- I really like my Raider, but it's definitely NOT a low-maintenance vehicle
Just something I found amusing today and thought I'd share

Same thing a month ago, except 150,000. Another 50 to go...

Does this even exist in our Gen 1? I have never come across it before except for the alternator, brake, hi beam, and one other I can't recall now. Definitely not any maintenance required light.

Eric,
You know how to shut if off after you do the maintenance right? Let me know if you don't.

Ray I do Ray -- thanks for checking! I just found it amusing, and figured someone else might get a kick out of it as well. I also found the line about the warning light in the FSM amusing... Note that the warning lights bulb should be removed after the 120,000 mileage I guess someone must have forgotten to do this Eric W.

There is also a switch on the same panel to reset the light if you dont want to remove it. I just removed mine and didn't think about it again.

Pull off the plastic thing behind the speedometer. Find a small black switch and switch it. I forgot what side it was on. It should take you less than 2 min. No tools required, well maybe to switch the switch, it is recessed somewhat.

I just want to tell you both good luck, and we're all counting on you.
