Whilst checking out/cleaning the MAF sensor, which incidentally was covered in filth thanks to a pretty stuffed air filter, I found/caused one of the three flat wires to crack. Yup, now the CEL is on permanently and it runs like rubbish. Question - Can this be repaired or am I simply going to have to fork out big $$ for a new one?? There aren't too many Sportys in the area to go looking for a wrecked one so I may be doomed to pay retail. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/scared.gif" alt="" />

should be...but I tried to get one as an extra from the junkyard I've been pulling parts from & they wouldn't separate that part from the rest of the engine. They aren't very common around here either.

Checked out dealer...$416 AU [$328 US]new, then the closest junk yard that had one is two hours away at $220 Oz dollars. E-bay has nothing so i think I'm going to have to start saving up as either way I'm up for at least twice our weekly grocery bill to get 'er running properly again. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/barf.gif" alt="" />
I guess there's nothing to lose by trying to fix it, maybe the piece can be soldered back on. I'll let yas all know how it goes.

It is stil on e-bay at 10 + $40 shipping to canada..so about C$75 after tax and broker fees ....no mention about shipping to AUstralia,,just ask him.
If it can help, I checked and there is one here at scrapyard around the corner for C$100...about 109 Aussie$. may be I could make him drop a few $ .
