Need a Spot
ok i finally got my 86 4runner back together and running and now the engine will run but it wont idle and the timing is advanced but if i try to turn it back the truck runs worse. if u have any ideas please let me know.

Check the TPS, especially the idle settings:

If those are off, your base timing will be way advanced and trying to set it to spec (with the jumper installed) will result in the timing being way too retarded.
