I've had this truck all of about 3 days now, and the other day i noticed that under my hood(3.2L) there is no (auto)transmission dip stick, or fill tube... how are you suposed to change your fluids? the manual says to take it to a dealer but that seems a little rediculous. any info is appreciated and i hope this isnt a dumb question

There's a fill/drain plug similar to a manual transmission. Do a search on here and you'll get more specifics. But essentially you have to fill it with fluid until it starts dribbling out the fill hole while the engine is running.

Let Jiffy Lube do it, unless you enjoy laying under the vehicle with the engine running.

I've read several comments about the GM-sourced auto box in our post-91 Troopers not having dipsticks, but mine does.
I checked the option codes and it says there's a 4L30E down there.
Did some have 'em and some not?

Not sure what you mean, I was quite serious. To reach the fill hole you have to wriggle underneath the vehicle. The vehicle has to be level, so you can't jack it higher to make room...and the level has to be checked with the engine running and warmed up. So you have to worry about hot exhaust, noise, etc. too. Not fun IMHO.

Not fun IMHO. I understood your intent behind it. What made me cringe was the jiffy lube part of it. I just don't trust any place like that. That's all. Richard

Ah, well believe me, "letting" Jiffy Lube do it includes me standing there watching them do it so I know they did it properly...
