Does the vehicle really need to be raised off the garage floor to drop the tranny? all depends on how much clearance you have under the rig. mine's tall enough that i don't need to. i just secure it to the tranny jack, lower, and roll it out from under the truck.
SAS88TOY, caged, lockered, Longfielded, etc. etc. etc. blah blah blah!!! 2005 Tundra Quadcab.

if you have the fly wheel turned make sure they also turn the step on it. What do you mean if, whenever you replace a clutch you have the flywheel re-surfaced!!!!! No if about it!!!!!!!!!!!!

A 2" body lift makes your life a whole lot easier when reaching those top bolts. Other then that it is more time then anything. You will want a floor jack to help the tranny down or it will be very heavy to do by hand.
