Those that are going to ZuZoo X via I-70 from Richfied to Crescent Junction could take advantage of 3 trails that are the gems of the San Rafeal Swell which are located between mile markers 114 and 131 (Crescent Junction-turn off for Moab is exit 180. Those trails are Eagle Canyon, Devil's Racetrack and Fix it Pass. If they are run in that order it would put you out at exit 131, less than an hour from the Moab turn off (Rt 191).

For those coming via Rt 6 from Spanish Fork to Green River, you could simply turn south in price, head to Ferron and pick up any of the three trails, run two of them, or run all three, just in a different sequence.

Here's some photo's of at least two of the trails. If you're interested PM me and I'll get you the coordinates.

That is west of Moab I assume? Looks like similar country, would be fun if I had the time, but...

I don't plan on stopping on the way to Moab, but on the Monday or Tuesday before ZuZoo I will likely head to Canyonlands National Park and run Elephant Hill again...hike the Joint Trail etc.

Anybody who wants to go let me know. It is about 75 miles from Moab and incredibly gorgeous in a little different way from the Moab area.

Yes it's west of Moab that's why I didn't include any folks heading to Moab from the east. Have fun at ZuZoo Steve

99.9% no, not this year. First unlike you guys who only can venture out to Moab once a year, I've been averaging 6 to 7 times a year and quite frankly it's getting a bit boring running the same trails over and over. This year I have trips planned for Arizona, Logandale, Nevada (rivals Moab if not better), Montana, and I really want to get back out to CoZu this year. I think thst was my favorite place to wheel in the last 5 years or so.

Secondly, if all goes well with the wifes heart surgery on Friday we plan on taking a vacation this year to Maine to look at potential properties. We figure if we throw the 18 year old daughter out this time and move while she's gone she can't bomrang back on us. LOL

Where you going to be at in Az.? If your in the Tucson area give me a holler. I'm always looking for a reason to go wheeling...as long as its not on a race weekend!
