Just picked up a 1993 YJ...My wife followed me home and said that the rear wheel on the passanger side was wobbling. The axle and tracking bar look o.k. What would be the obvious to look for. Appreciate the help.

Go with the obvious first, check the lug nuts. Then try the spare maybe the rim took a hit and is bent.

Could you feel it while driving? If not could it have been an optical illusion created by something on the tire, or on part of teh tire? Even loose lugnuts you will feel by about 35-40mph in my experience.

Most likely the wheel itself is bent.. I have seen tires with the tread on crooked! making the thing look wobbly.. But usually it is the wheel.
Let HER drive it and YOU look at it!

I could not feel it at speed up to 40 or so. I am going to pull it off and put the spare on. We will see if that is the gremlin...Thanks guys...

Is it one of those special lugs that takes a key?
I've gotten those off with a big set of channylocks before.

Problem solved...I used a cut off wheel to remove the lock...The tire itself was very deformed and warped. Could not tell when on the jeep but when off it rolled like a drunken sailor on shore leave! (apologies in advance to all sailors drunk or not!)
Thanks guys

The way to get a locker off of a wheel is to WHACK em straight in with a BFH and then the channel locks will take em ALL off...
