Hello great sportage world,
I was out playing in the dirt today, when, BOOM! <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/scared.gif" alt="" /> Where'd that dip come from? That's gonna leave a mark: I lost the speedo, odo and cruise. The rest of the dash is normal, no CEL. Oops.... <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />
I pulled out my meter and started checking connections on the VSS: I have 12V on 2 of the wires and nothing on the 3rd. I pulled the VSS, checked with an ohm meter and I have opens on all 3 contacts. Acording to the FSM, I should have 12V, grd, and a pulsing 12V while the driveshaft is spinning. No such outputs. Did I shock my VSS to death?
Oh, what a perfect time to loose the speedo, the fuzz has been cracking down on the leadfoots of the area. Thank heavens I know what speeds are at what PRMS in which gear. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
