Getting the Wheeling Fever
|
Gosh I am just beat. I'm sick of looking at my jeep as it is kicking me in the butt. One problem right after another.
Here's the situation:
I got everything back installed. Changed the fluids and started her up. The jeep started after just a few seconds but died. I realized that I didn't push my fuel lines into the rail far enough for them to click. Ok fixed that. In addition I had an exaust leak at the head pipe. Ok tightened that.
Went and tried to start it again and it wont start. The thing turns over just fine and every now and again I was getting a little fire but nothing. I realized I didn't have the hose connected to the MAT sensor (the one on the fire wall) and fixed that hopeing it would work.....nothing. I'm not getting any spark.
I just changed the CPS a week ago so I don't think that's the problem.
I feel like banging my head against the keyboard.
The only other thing I can think of is the o2 sensor in the head pipe. the pipe itself got banged up quite a bit while working on the exaust. but if it were bad I don't think I would have gotten that first fire up to begin with.

Ok cs two things to do first... have your boyfriend hit the starter while you hold the #1 plug wire in your hand... If you start yelling then the spark is ok.. Next check for fuel pressure.. there should be a schreader valve on the manifold that when the key is on should shoot gasoline out when depressed. There's pressure in the fuel line but no spark. It's weird because like I said it started up for about 10 seconds.

might be a problem on ignition module. Module problems as well as pickup problems are often caused by loose, broken or corroded wiring terminals and connectors.
