Getting the Wheeling Fever
I would like to do a duel case set up on my '88 4Runner with a 22RE. My question is I have a '88 V6 transfer case lying around and was wondering if I could use the gear reduction off of it.

Unfortunately no one manufacturers parts to use the chain driven V6 transfer case for dual cases. You will need to find another four cylinder case or buy one from a vendor like Inchworm or Marlin.

I thought just the part that turns the drive shafts was chain driven. So your saying the gear reduction part is worthless also. What a bummer!

I saw a discussion on Marlin's board stating he had one... but I can't find it.

Blackdog is running one; might be the prototype:

I know he makes one for the 3.4 C-drive t-case, did not know he was making one for the 3.0 C-drive T-case. When I talked to him about it years ago, he told me the 3.0 case was junk. He may have changed his mind.
