Not to sound rude, but why do so many people assume "fuel filter" when a vehicle dies? That filter would have to be plugged shut in order for the engine to not receive fuel, which is HIGHLY unlikely. That's the last thing I'd consider. The coil could be overheating, which is a common problem with faulty ignition modules. No spark = no start, obviously. They overheat and literally shut off.

if there is no spark, most likely causes would be a failed ignition module. if the engine won't crank, you are probably dealing with a jeep starter or battery problem.
