Need a Spot
What would one ask for the following?

88 4runner dlx
4cylinder
5spd
no sunroof
manual windows
stock in every way
gray
1 owner
clean carfax showing 1 owner, no liens, 20K mileage in the last 3 years
engine rebuilt/clutch replaced 30k miles ago (do not know why)
tires and brakes 15k miles ago
cap has never been removed!

rear window motor going (need to turn key on and off to push it up/down 2-3" at a turn)
cracked windshield (not in line of vision)
slight tear in passenger seat
NE typical rust on undercarriage
front passenger fender rusted through at lip

rear took light hit (primary reason for owner selling)
passenger rear panel has rusty wrinkles due to hit
tailgate does not open, because hinge catches on damaged area after tilting 10 degrees, due to hit

AC compressor disconnected (belt is MIA, previous owner said AC stopped working 2 years ago)

I think that it will cost $1000+ to have a shop do an OK job on the AC, the rear panel, tailgate, and maybe to add a rear leaf (not sagging based on what I know, just be nice to go 1-2" higher.) Leaving the windshield and the front fender alone for now. Purchase price was $900. The vehicle is driveable and quite usable for my purposes as is. But I feel that if I am putting $600+ into fixing the AC, I'm going to address the bigger cosmetic issues too. Just trying to rationalize my purchase.

I certainly wouldn't feel too bad about paying $900 for it. I think you got a pretty good deal.
