Is it possible that one is a Cal. spec. device? other a standard O2 sensor.

Is it possible that one is a Cal. spec. device? other a standard O2 sensor. That is what I was thinking and what I had read somewhere. The CA front one was different from the Fed. I can't find anything on it now. Need someone with a Toyota parts catalog as the online Toyota guys won't show their part #s anymore.

there is a post about this over in the Tacoma or 4runner page...its been a few weeks, somebody had issues with CEL, turns out they were using a Fed. O2 sensor with a vehicle with a cal. spec. ECU...I imagine the opposite would do the same.

I would not bother changing the rear sensor unless the truck is complaining about it. The rear sensor only makes sure that the cat is working somewhat (comparison to front sensor which actually provides the fuel mixture regulation.)

Guys, I just replaced mine last night. I've been doing a lot of driving lately and my mileage sucks. I've been getting around 17 mpg on the interstate, unloaded. Hopefully this will help. My truck has 136,xxx miles on it and the O2 sensor has never been changed. My nuts were rusted pretty bad too, but came off o.k......sometimes they itch a little....
