Is there a way to check and see what the code is with out taking into the shop and paying a diag fee? I'm between toyotas right now... 3rd Gen 4-runner soon. Our trucks tend to code often and it has paid for itself. I hate seeing a CEL illuminated, even if I know what's causing it. My cost was about $150 at AutoZone. I went to the dealership and the told me to go to autozone and they'd check it for me for free and then find out what the problem is. It doesn't ride any different, but I'm going on vacation and plan on driving my truck. any suggestion? We can't diagnose it any further until you do that.
