Alright you lurkers, here's the big question...the one you might have been afraid to ask...

what do you put on the "window glass run channel" to restore it's original state. Talking about the stuff that dries out and falls apart...you know.
I am thinking wax. Paraffin or bees wax....unless you have a better answer.

And another question, what's it called those type of car shows where they judge on how original the car is. What's that called?

IIRC the window shop suggested graphite lube. Sprays on and the liquid evaporates leaving a film of graphite particles.

Not sure what you mean by restore. but if its lubrication you are looking for I just use a tuna fish sandwich and rub it in with half an apple. If that dosn't work I use greasless silicone lubricant.
