Body Damage is Cool
Well apparently I have the fever and it's in full force Very Happy

After we just got the 99 Trooper we were talking last night and the subject of selling my gas hog V10 Dodge for something else came up. Well I immediately think, 1st gen Amigo Very Happy. Off to Craigslist I go and find one for sale in the area, nice and cheap with a blown head gasket.

Figure the head gasket is cheap enough but I know that it may be needing a new head and I'd be damned if I could find any info with google last night. So where and how much are heads, and how involved is changing a head gasket on a 93?

Heads are generally sub 500, but if it's a 93+, those heads are supposed to be better quality than the older ones.

I'd recommend www.aluminumheads.com and their AMC new casting. I know you've been gone awhile (welcome back)... but I'm sure you can guess that the actual process has been covered here a time or two. Give google the boot and focus your searching on our Isuzu Tech forum.

I don't see one. It should be on the right of the main shifter. Looks 2wd to me.

Other than the minor problem of having to also do a tranny swap to get a transfer case.

2.6 auto bell housing + AW4 + D300... didn't say the entire project was cheap, just that that vehicle would be a cheap starting point.
