Need a Spot
I noticed the other day that my truck would smoke when I was heavy on the throtle. This truck just passed emissions the other day with flying colors. My uncle from whom I purchased the truck says it "uses" oil. Could this mean that the valve seals are going bad or that the oil is getting past the rings? The truck runs fine besides this. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

I have an 1985 22R with 170k. The engine runs strong but the smoke has me wondering if there might be some internal problem due to high mileage. Thanks.

Your still vague, You mention smoke when on heavy throttle. Is it alot of smoke????? Is there any smoke at start up? When was the last time you did oil change? Was the truck sitting around before you got it? What of shape is the PVC in?

The truck did sit for a little while. I noticed the smoke while I was driving the other night from my side mirror. It does not smoke from start up and I have done an oil change recently. I will go drive it right now to dertermine what color the smoke is. Thanks
